Goodnight Johnny’s American Music Bar is Burlington’s newest hot spot for live music and quality food and drinks. Goodnight Johnny’s features top musical entertainment and a full service restaurant with classic American menu offerings. Our upbeat atmosphere caters to local adults looking for a quality, a reasonably priced experience and excellent service. We offer lunch, dinner, a weekend brunch, a few drinks and live music. Restaurant General Manager:

Job Summary

The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant, bar and entertainment venue. The restaurant General Manager will also be responsible for venue strategies, food, liquor and entertainment quality and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be motivated by and experienced in financial incentive programs.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • FOH and BOH management oversight.
  • Recruiting, hiring and training all job classifications.
  • Scheduling employees to ensure shifts have proper coverage.
  • Managing the guest experience to ensure excellent reviews.
  • Monitoring restaurant finances, including sales and expenses.
  • Enforcing food handling regulations and other guidelines to increase guest safety.
  • Oversees marketing for the restaurant.
  • Handling customer complaints.
  • Food, Liquor and Entertainment quality.
  • Customer service quality and satisfaction.
  • Coordination of a proactive approach for special event catering and entertainment.
  • Ensuring the consistent completion of all necessary operational, administrative and financial requirements mandated by law, the industry’s best practices and ownership.
  • An appropriate blend of operations and financial management expertise and experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of front and back of house operations including food, liquor, staff supervision, inventory, and food safety
  • Strong understanding of cost and labor systems that lead to restaurant profitability
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting
  • Ability to lead large groups of people
  • 3+ years of experience in a bar, restaurant and entertainment general management role

Pay: $50,123.83 - $98,284.00 per year
