We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to join our team! From breakfast, lunch, and dinner to exceptionally curated private events, pop-up dinners, and local gatherings utilizing all nine acres of our beautiful property. Our Chef’s garden, fruit and olive orchards, and vineyard provide a truly unique farm to table experience for our guests and staff alike. As part of the leadership team of The Madrona you are an extension of Mosaic Hotels and Restaurants’ unique edge to deliver uncommon hospitality. The Madrona joins North Block Hotel and Restaurant, El Dorado Hotel and Kitchen, and Olema House and Due West Tavern.

This position requires work on nights, weekends, and holidays- The starting annual salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000 per year. While we'd prefer prior restaurant management experience, we are willing to work with the right candidate who's eager to move into a hospitality management career, extensive full service restaurant experience is required.

As the Restaurant Manager, you will direct Servers, Hosts, Bartenders and Buspersons on table service in assigned station according to restaurant service standards and specifications, courteously and efficiently. Take food and beverage orders when necessary; retrieve and serve food and beverage orders to guests’ tables. Collect payments. Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant/bar area and equipment. Enforce company's standards, policies and procedures with restaurant/bar staff. Schedule and staff based on business needs. Motivate restaurant/bar staff and maintain a cohesive team. Ascertain restaurant/bar staff training needs and provide such training. Ensure security and confidentiality of guest information. Provide guests with excellent experience to ensure satisfaction.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding in person and by telephone.

• Provide legible communication.

• Basic computer skills

• Compute basic mathematical calculations.

• Remain calm under pressure, making sound and logical decisions quickly.

• Be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate.

• Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.

• Five years’ experience as a fine dining server and/or 2 years of previous manager experience.

• Food handling certificate.

• Certification in alcohol awareness program.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience as a fine dining captain.

• Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish.

• Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.

• Previous culinary training.

• Certification in CPR

• Knowledge of computerized P.O.S. systems, preferably Aloha.

• Previous guest relations training.
