Revenue Management Analyst

The Revenue Management Analyst is a key role within the Scenic Group that will provide analytical support across all markets, focused on inventory and net revenue optimization. This role is responsible for providing proactive recommendations on inventory management, yield optimization, pricing and promotional opportunities as well as ways to optimize distribution channel effectiveness. The revenue management analyst will support all brands within the Scenic group across the river product line. This role will report into the Sr Manager, Net revenue & Inventory Optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to net revenue optimization efforts and overall profitability by finding areas of opportunity at the global as well as market level.
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of data to create recommendations on pricing, promotions, global guest sourcing, maximization of occupancy & net revenue optimization.
  • Review and manage inventory position and pacing; report out to global commercial team on any emerging trends as well as recommendations to drive volume and maximize revenue.
  • Develop strategic and tactical responses to market changes, inventory needs and overall RM strategy with projections of the impact these responses would drive.
  • Create recommendations on market policies, payment terms and sales conditions to optimize the booking curves and protect against retro revenue loss.
  • Maintain, optimize and create analytical tools, including demand trends and booking curves by markets, cabins, channels and key segments.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting on performance; produce a weekly presentation on key focus areas and insights that will be presented and distributed within the company to ensure global alignment.
  • Drive alignment between markets to ensure local actions are in line with revenue strategy.
  • Support global teams as well as the executive suite with analytical support as required.
  • Complete ad hoc analysis & tasks as needed.

Education & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a role focused on commercial, marketing or sales analytics.
  • Strong time management skills to optimize productivity while different time zones.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft suite - specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with a business intelligence & visualization tool (Power BI or similar).
  • Experience with reservations systems preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate understanding of revenue management concepts.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate details while producing clear, easy to understand reports and presentations.
  • Background in the cruise industry (or other travel / hospitality industries) preferred.
  • Organized, analytical and self-motivated person with strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with others, as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt and be flexible in a growing business environment.
