About The Role
: Become a part of our Transdev team as a Risk Manager in the Los Angeles area. This position oversees accidents/incidents claims. This position's starting salary is $80,000 and up (Depending on experience).

This position's starting salary is $80,000 and up (Depending on experience). This is for proposed business and all offers are contingent upon Transdev's award of the contract in El Monte, California.
Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of occupational safety, environmental health, and workers' compensation.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and laws about the workplace environment.
  • Complete, accurate quarterly accident and injury reports
  • Production and Distribution of Monthly Reports at the Customer Support Centers, Regional and Corporate levels
  • Work with TPA Claim Systems to provide data to Risk Management
  • Assist operations and other departments with Certificates of Insurance
  • Produce Quarterly Invoices to subsidiary companies
  • Maintain Exposure data for renewal, and complete renewal submission annually
  • Assist with special projects and presentations
  • Produce additional reports as requested
  • Review contract insurance requirements and request required certificates and endorsements.
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • 3 years or more of relevant experience
  • This position requires a basic understanding of risk management, claim management, and claims handling processes.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Must have experience in analyzing safety data and converting it to accurate trends; proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to maintain deadlines and timeframes dictated by financial reporting requirements
  • Must have experience having to work within and extracting information from the Claims systems of the various TPAs
  • Candidate must have a working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Must work independently and be flexible to meet the daily challenges and competing priorities of the risk management and safety department environment.
