About The Role: Become a part of our Transdev team as a Risk Manager in the Los Angeles area. This position oversees accidents/incidents claims. This position's starting salary is $80,000 and up (Depending on experience).
This position's starting salary is $80,000 and up (Depending on experience). This is for proposed business and all offers are contingent upon Transdev's award of the contract in El Monte, California.
Knowledge of principles and practices of occupational safety, environmental health, and workers' compensation.- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and laws about the workplace environment.
- Complete, accurate quarterly accident and injury reports
- Production and Distribution of Monthly Reports at the Customer Support Centers, Regional and Corporate levels
- Work with TPA Claim Systems to provide data to Risk Management
- Assist operations and other departments with Certificates of Insurance
- Produce Quarterly Invoices to subsidiary companies
- Maintain Exposure data for renewal, and complete renewal submission annually
- Assist with special projects and presentations
- Produce additional reports as requested
- Review contract insurance requirements and request required certificates and endorsements.
- Other duties as required
- 3 years or more of relevant experience
- This position requires a basic understanding of risk management, claim management, and claims handling processes.
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Must have experience in analyzing safety data and converting it to accurate trends; proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to maintain deadlines and timeframes dictated by financial reporting requirements
- Must have experience having to work within and extracting information from the Claims systems of the various TPAs
- Candidate must have a working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Must work independently and be flexible to meet the daily challenges and competing priorities of the risk management and safety department environment.
