The Groundskeeper RV role is important to the success of a community as this individual is part of a team responsible for ensuring we offer a top service experience to the residents. A primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the grounds are well maintained and that the curb appeal is a strong part of drawing new customers into the community while also providing a property with clean buildings and amenities that existing residents can be proud to bring family and friends to.

• Role: Groundskeeper RV
• Position type: Part-time; this job requires a flexible schedule with varied work hours that may include weekends. The maximum number of hours per week is 28. Work hours can be in the morning, afternoon, or evening.
• Compensation: $12.00 - $14.00, depending on experience.
• Location: Ocala, FL

What we are looking for in a Groundskeeper RV Candidate:

• High School Diploma preferred
• Driven for Excellence in hospitality and guest experience
• Professional appearance
• Prior experience in grounds and landscaping
• Basic knowledge and understanding of landscape equipment
• Excellent customer service skills - residents are our #1 priority, and team members are expected to WOW them daily
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Live local
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Willingness to work as part of a team

What you will do as a Groundskeeper RV:

• Ensure common areas are neat & presentable at all times.
• Complete a daily, thorough walk-through of the grounds, parking area, and behind and beside buildings while cleaning up any trash and debris throughout the Resort.
• Complete a detailed clean-up of the entrance and office each morning before arrivals, including the pool, fitness center, and restrooms.
• Ensure mailbox kiosks are clean and free of mail clutter, emptying pet stations and trash receptacles daily.
• Ensure the dumpster area is picked up and free of debris daily.
• Push mow / use of zero turn to mow common areas, weekly.
• Remove weeds in all common areas, by hand if needed, daily.
• Touch up paint curbs and common area facilities.
• Blow all debris and leaves from each common area building, daily.
• Inform the G&M Manager of low-stock items and unique items needed for repairs so they may be ordered promptly.
• Maintain all tools and equipment and store them in a safe and recommended manner.
• Maintain a clean and orderly maintenance shop and inventory control.
• Keep all storm drains free of clutter/debris.
• Clean up the work site at the end of the day and completion of tasks.
• Be able to problem solve when an unforeseen problem arises while carrying out a task.
• Work with and maintain a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Attend daily resort huddles.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Grounds & Maintenance Manager.
