Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Global Business Services is currently seeking an SAP HANA Basis Architect/Administrator with experience building and supporting platforms for large SAP implementations including establishing and carrying out implementations of SAP and related policies and procedures in support of large SAP implementations for IBM customers. The SAP HANA Basis Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the Basis component of SAP systems and will assist in the planning, designing, and architecting of SAP systems across a variety of platforms and databases.

The candidate should have experience performing system sizing, OS/DB Migrations using DMO to migrate large databases, both traditional on-premise migrations and on-premise to cloud migrations. The ideal candidate should be able to recommend and implement downtime optimization techniques for said migrations, perform SAP S/4HANA Conversions and provide recommendations on best practices for migrations and upgrades. The candidate should have experience with installation and configuration of Gateway/Fiori, Web dispatcher and SAP Cloud connector.

The candidate will also responsible for administration of SAP HANA system integration within an SAP Landscape. The role covers HANA Security, HANA SLT Configuration, Suite on HANA, BW on HANA and BW/4HANA Migrations, HANA System Monitoring, HANA Install & Config, Health Checks, and Monitoring.

Additionally, the SAP HANA Basis Administrator should have experience installing support packs, conducting upgrades, executing backups/recovery, system refresh and troubleshooting as well as database administration, conducting failover of production systems, and monitoring and performance tuning of SAP systems.

Experience working with public IaaS providers (GCP, AWS, Azure). Experience with systems and cloud monitoring techniques and technologies. Expertise in SAP Infrastructure with emphasis on SAP Basis, Security, Change management, SAP Integration technologies, Development Workbench, Memory management, and Workload management.

Certification in one of AWS, Azure or GCP a plus. Organizational and communication skills, proven track record of strong project coordination/management success.

Individuals should be capable of working independently or in teams and have the ability to effectively communicate with customers to gain insight and develop solutions to meet their business needs.
Ability to communicate verbally and distill complex technical terms with conciseness, clarity, and accuracy.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
