Support the Digital Biology Group’s expansion into quality control applications for Cell and Gene Therapy and translational research in Oncology. Help drive the development of innovative applications – from designing assays,

planning experiments to performing data analysis and optimization. You’ll also partner with engineers, bioinformatics, marketing, and many others to deliver applications and products that empower our customers to improve healthcare outcomes for millions.


How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Advance quality control applications for Cell and Gene Therapy and accelerate innovation in translational research in Oncology by designing effective experiments, performing basic data analysis (R, JMP, and Excel), and documenting your research under a Quality Management System.
  • Establish protocols for product feasibility testing, optimization, verification, validation, and launch that will ultimately help our customers improve the quality of life for millions.
  • Mentor and train research associates to propel Bio-Rad – and healthcare – into the future by addressing our customers’ needs and driving innovative applications.

What You Bring;

  • 4 years of industry experience designing and executing experiments and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in molecular biology or a closely related field.
  • Experience with nucleic acid technology relating to PCR, qPCR, multiplex PCR, and digital PCR and a familiarity with CLSI guidelines.
  • An aptitude for writing clear plans, reports, and SOPs and presenting your progress to colleagues and senior management.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills with a growth mindset and eagerness to problem-solve in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate and present results in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent analytical and data analysis skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and organization.
  • Demonstrated skills in team-based work and/or collaborating.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software such as JMP is a plus.

Preferred Skills to Support Your Success:

  • Experience with product development for regulated markets (CE-IVD, FDA), and working under NPD Design Control (ISO13485 quality system)
  • Adept at basic statistical analysis, programming (e.g., R, python), and utilizing databases (SQL)
  • A background in Biopharma QC, Cell and Gene Therapy, Antibody Production, and/or Oncology

Compensation:
The estimated base salary range for this position is $89,300 to $122,800 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
