Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is looking for a candidate to fill the Data Security Analyst position. The candidate for this position will provide technical support for a wide range of information security issues including secure electronic data traffic, network security, and data security and privacy.
Education / Certifications
- BA/BS degree with at least 8 years’ experience
- IAT II certification per IAW AR 25-2
- CSSP Analyst
- DoDI 8570.01M requirements:
- CEH or CFR or CCNA Cyber Ops or CCNA- Security or CompTIA CySA+ or GCIA or GCOH or GICSP or Cloud+ or SCYBER pr PenTest+Continuous education as required by certifications
Skills / Experience Required
- Develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies that contribute to the Identity and Access Management programs success
- Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintains identity warehouse
- Researches, refines, and cleanses data for improved access governance and role development
- Creates and analyzes reports to determine trends and emerging requirements, anticipates future needs and requirements in order to take proactive actions
- Monitors and responds to Data loss Prevention events and escalate where necessary
- Identify, develop, and build solutions to mitigate security risks
- Maintain and administer multi-factor authentication solution
- Advises on a wide range of internet and technology issues, privacy, computer security, and encryption standards
- Litigation support including drafting affidavits and letters
- Identify, develop, and recommend information security policies and principles that will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, reliability, and appropriate use of the company’s information assets
- Reviews network designs, database system designs, communication engineering designs, as they relate to security requirements
- Perform follow-up of potential security events in coordination with firm’s security operations centers
- Development and advocate QA processes and guidelines based on policies and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate and reconcile data across multiple systems
- Research, evaluate and recommend tools to improve quality control
- Conduct random review to ensure functions are audit ready at all times
- Work closely with functional teams to analyze, categorize and resolve variance in quality expectations
- Design and deliver regularly scheduled ad hoc reports on performance in a clear format for a variety of audiences to help stakeholders determine what is working well and what areas need improvement
- Effectively communicate and ‘translate’ quantitative findings (storytelling with data), make, and defend meaningful conclusions and recommendations to drive data-based decisions, identify and interpret trends and relationships between different datasets
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
- Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.
