The Senior Accounting Services professional will be responsible for organizing and managing client assignments and projects, including the completion of assignments and tasks and project components as well as coaching, advising and directing team members in meeting client and self-development expectations.
- Assume substantial responsibility for recording transactions for multi-million dollar entities.
- Work with client personnel around the world.
- Continued knowledge of compliance issues including International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Perform audits, reviews, and compilations in the office.
- Prepare tax returns, perform other accounting projects, and create all documentation necessary to support accounting functions for commercial clients.
- Read and be familiar with pronouncements from the AICPA and FASB along with various tax authorities, strategies and laws.
- Support staff and supervisor.
- Organize project activities and ensure tasks are completed within project scope and budget.
- Prepare to sit for and pass the CPA examination (if eligible).
- Stay up to date on firm policies, procedures, and the AICPA and the state CPA society’s rules, regulations, and Code of Ethics.
- Look for opportunities to provide additional services to our clients.
- Perform other job functions and projects as requested to support the Firm.
- Must be able to travel to client locations (rarely overnight).
- BA/BS/MS in Accounting preferred but will accept associate degrees or comparable experience
- Must be in office environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to listen effectively
- 2-6 years of relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting and tax principles, and ability to solve routine engagement issues
