Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SBU product marketing teams to identify and implement growth initiatives within our current product portfolio as well as expansion areas.
- Understand SBU P&L objectives to make sound go-to-market recommendations in order to drive top and bottom lines.
- Operate as the Channel Lead and collaborate with sales, product marketing, RGM, marketing services and GIM in the areas of:
- Implementation of strategic growth initiatives
- Marketing program development and implementation
- Development of selling stories that drive expansion of new & existing products
- Implementation of Price & Promo strategies
- Research including competitive insights and recommendations
- Commercialization plans that drive success of new items & innovation
- Build and maintain channel expertise through field travel, attendance at industry events, competitive analysis and close collaboration with sales and SBU partners.
- Provide input to brand and merchandising messaging and ensure they align with the overall channel strategy and drive the best possible customer experience within specific accounts.
- Leverage analytics tools & resources to evaluate program/promotional effectiveness and recommend changes and improvements as required.
- Lead the creation of a comprehensive ongoing channel situation analysis that monitors sales, margin and volume across key products and customers. Develop action plans to quickly address opportunities and challenges.
- Lead cross-functional teams via execution of strong project management for key initiatives & new product launches.
- Partner with marketing services to ensure development of 2D, 3D and digital collateral to drive product launches, promotions, key marketing campaigns, programs within channel and customer-specific marketing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field is required; MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of sales and/or marketing experience is required. Channel Leadership experience is preferred. Experience within the Consumer/Durable Goods industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, collaboration, engagement and building trust.
- Demonstrated solid analytical skills and problem-solving ability with basic financial acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in leveraging POS data & Consumer Research to drive recommendations
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
