Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Communications Strategist, a critical member of the Human Resource (HR) Communications team. You will be responsible for strategic planning and counsel, building an integrated communications strategy including executive communications, external communications and internal communication. This individual will be accountable for thinking ahead, engaging proactively and taking initiative while coordinating with key stakeholders on cross-functional projects that support HR objectives.

In this role you will:
  • Work with HR leadership to drive change across the enterprise to improve the employee experience and enable a high performing culture.
  • Support executive communications for the head of Human Resources and HR leadership team, including messages, talking points, organizational announcements, and executive positioning both internally and externally
  • Transform complex benefits programs/concepts into clear, concise and appealing content and communications, identifying storytelling opportunities to promote key HR priorities and support the employee and manager experience.
  • Lead and set strategic direction for communication initiatives, defining objectives, key messaging, audience, measures of success, and tactical communications plan; and communicate effectively with stakeholders on commitments, expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Write and edit a variety of content and communications for key internal and external enterprise channels including email, the intranet, and the HR services and support website.
  • Consult on campaigns across the Enterprise to ensure we create an integrated and authentic story to demonstrate our commitment to our employees and value proposition.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of organizational communication needs including structure and audience to determine the appropriate channel, medium and distribution approach for communication.
  • Build a culture of data driven storytelling, leveraging insights to drive outcomes and demonstrate business impact.
  • Manage communications review and approval process to meet communication standards, risk control expectations and plan deadlines.
  • This position will also be responsible for supporting internal communications needs for other HR communication initiatives on an as needed basis.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Corporate Communications and Employee Communications experience
  • Experience in Human Resource communications
  • Experience in change management/transformation communication strategies and plans
  • Experience counseling clients and delivering internal communications
  • Experience developing compelling content and leveraging multiple channels for creative storytelling
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, and enhances understanding at all levels
Job expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Hybrid in-office model (minimum of 3 days per week in office location)

Charlotte NC: $111,100 - $197,500

Minneapolis MN: $111,100 - $197,500

New York NY: $133,300 - $237,100

Washington DC: $122,200 - $217,200
