A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of program coordination experience in a public health, health, or human services-related program or community-based organization; OR an associate’s degree in a related field and six years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. At least two years of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's or graduate degree in infection control, biology, statistics, public health, epidemiology, nursing, or a related field. Certification in Infection Control (CIC), experience using the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), and knowledge of infection control policies. Work experience in HAI/AR surveillance patient safety surveillance, data analysis, data validation, and reporting, or related public health activities.
Responsibilities :
Health Research Inc. is seeking a passionate and dedicated public health professional to join our team. As a Senior Program Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities by overseeing coordination activities for the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). This role is integral in promoting health and preventing disease. As primary liaison between local and state health departments, healthcare facilities, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, you will facilitate new opportunities to prioritize patient safety and quality improvement surveillance, including antimicrobial resistance (AR) surveillance, and will lead the expansion of data analysis, data validation, and reporting via the NHSN.

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.
