Service Foreman needed in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac
$25 - $40/hr - up to $10,000 sign on bonus - yearly 2nd shift bonus of $2000
Reports to: Service Manager
Supervises: Technicians
A mechanic who directs the service operation and personnel on 2nd shift.
Must be able to lead and supervise personnel.
Spend 70% or more of work time on billable repairs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Answers telephone calls and pages for department.
Prioritizes and schedules service work.
Opens repair orders. Closes repair orders paid with cash (cash sales).
Coordinates and oversees technicians. Inspects all completed work. Prepares estimates for repairs, with Service Manager’s approval.
Advises customer of necessary repairs.
Communicates status of repair work to customer. Manages billable hours of technicians.
Works with little to no supervision.
Minimizes comebacks.
Investigates and resolves customer quality complaints.
Monitors technician performance and reports concerns to Service Manager.
Inspects pertinent repair orders for proper documentation and warranty procedures.
Attends monthly shop meetings.
Sells parts in accordance with Parts Department policies and procedures.
Completes in-house training requirements.
Required Qualifications:
1. Supervisory experience or training.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Extensive knowledge of heavy/medium duty truck repair.
4. Organizational skills.
