Layton Sports Cards is a world leader in the sports card and trading card game industry. Formed in a small apartment in September of 2012, Layton Sports Cards has grown into a 30 employee operation working in a 7,000 sq ft facility. We have added Layton Gaming in September of 2021 and expansion plans continue with more locations opening in the future. We currently have plans to expand into 2 new shops in the close future.

There are 3 areas to our business. Online streaming, Brick and Mortar retail locations and Trade Shows.

Role Summary

Responsibilities of the Sorting and Shipping Specialist include sorting sports cards and related items, properly packaging and securing orders, using a shipping program to print labels and other duties as required. Candidates must be organized, extremely detail-oriented, and able to follow exact instructions, both written and verbal. Light cleaning is required. Must have reliable transportation. Weekends are required.

Requirements Include:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to read, write, type, and comprehend the English language

· Basic computer skills

· Willingness to work as part of a team, and independently

· Ability to accurately prepare orders for shipping to customers according to established procedures

All potential new hires must submit to a background check.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is standing or sitting, using their hands to handle cards and other items, and reaching with their arms. The employee is required to walk, talk and hear. The employee may need to move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Weekends are required.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
• Should have good understanding of basic computer concepts and technology.
• Should be proactive and a self-learner.
• Possess strong professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Should have a good attitude and ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.

Starting pay of $15 per hour.
