Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related experience in change management or organizational design required.

Five (5) years experience in a healthcare and/or managed care environment required.

Experience and/or training in computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

Experience and/or training with mathematical calculations, basic statistics, basic medical terminology, and lean methodology required.

Lean Sigma Certification required within six (6) months of hire.

Ability to act as both a thought leader and operational expert around process and service transformation. Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and in situations requiring instructing, persuading, negotiating, conflict resolution, consulting and advising, as well as flawless written communication. Expert in written and verbal communication skills to perform group presentations, tactfully discuss issues, and listen to and understand concepts, rules and procedures. Ability to work with all levels within the organization, facilitate communication, and effectively document related activities.

Ability to lead effective change management strategies and tactics and ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with widely diverse groups, including individuals at all levels both within and outside the organization and gain their cooperation. Ability to provide leadership and influence others. Ability to plan, organize, motivate, mentor, direct and evaluate the work of others. Knowledge of principles of business and management strategic planning, leadership development, and education techniques. Knowledge of SHP operations and how it relates to labor productivity and efficiency. Knowledge of Managing Change, Lean Principles, and Flow Manufacturing techniques.

Expert in techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business. Expert in technologies, techniques, and practices for the evaluation of business performance data. Ability to analyze business performance using advanced statistical methods to justify and drive future business planning decisions. Ability to perform standard business math, financial data and make simple projections. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Project and Outlook. Basic level proficiency in Excel and source data applications using quantitative analysis, charting, pivot tables and formulas.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Develops, supports, and guides Change Management for a portfolio of key strategic initiatives/projects/programs across SHP. Drives and guides initiative owners in planning, execution and tracking of change management efforts. Develops and manages change management plans across SHP. Expands responsibilities to general program management on occasion, based on needs of organization. Manages change management responsibilities over large scale performance improvement initiatives as well as supporting the design, development, and implementation of Change Management and Process Improvement Programs across SHP, and is accountable for achieving excellence in these areas to create measurable, sustainable change. Partners with SHP leadership to develop change readiness strategy and oversees its roll-out from planning through execution. Supports the transformation of operational and business processes by accessing relevant data, current work practices/outcomes, and providing analytic insight for areas of improvement. Researches regulatory and contractual requirements to ensure evaluation and solutions meet the necessary outcomes/deliverables. Functions as a liaison between business and technical resources to ensure people, process and technology solutions meet or exceed the needs of business operating areas. Executes projects related to health plan operations in coordination with appropriate leadership.

Samaritan Health Plans (SHP) operates a portfolio of health plan products under several different legal structures: InterCommunity Health Plans, Inc. (IHN) is designated as a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) for Medicaid beneficiaries; Samaritan Health Plans, Inc. offers Medicare Advantage, Commercial Large Group, and Commercial Large Group PPO and EPO plans; SHP is also the third-party administrator for Samaritan Health Services’ self-funded employee health benefit plan.
