Social Media, Marketing and Community Engagement Coordinator

The Geneva Business Improvement District is a growing non-profit and we are looking for a talented individual to join our team.

We are seeking a Social Media, Marketing, Community Engagement and Events team member. This position requires an individual who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and highly organized with great time-management and prioritization skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram)
  • Create and curate engaging content (text, image, and video)
  • Manage social media account by monitoring and responding to comments and messages
  • Create a local events calendar hub.
  • Analyze social media metrics and provide regular reports to management
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns (digital, print, radio, earned media, press releases)
  • Collaborate with the team to create marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.
  • Collaborates with the team to coordinate all aspects of events including logistics.
  • Ambassador to our downtown district, providing relationship building strategy, program coordination, and evaluation systems.
  • Assists in setup and running all events.

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • This position occasionally requires long days, the ability to lift 45 lbs, and stand for several hours.
  • Knowledge of SEO and social media analytics tools
