Staff Accountant

Summary

The Staff Accountant applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and provide banking and external audit/tax information by performing the following duties:

Job Duties

● Compiles and analyzes financial data to prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation for business transactions.
● Conducts financial analysis of trends and variances, and summarizes findings to management and other departments.
● Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
● Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in the general ledger, financial statements, and other reporting.
● Prepares items for external auditors.
● Provides support to CFO, Controller, and other management, executing additional projects as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be well versed with Excel and other Microsoft products. Attention to detail and the ability to work well with others required.
