Storeroom Clerk Job at Cascades
Your Challenge
The Bear Island Mill is the newest addition to the Cascades Containerboard Packaging lineup. This state-of-the-art facility will offer one of the lightest high end, 100% recycled linerboard and medium products on the market. The mill is under construction and start-up is scheduled in Spring 2023.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform various functions inside the storeroom/warehouse: counter service, codification, reception, and storage of materials.
- Ensure the delivery and pickup of orders.
- Flag the repair and/or sending for repair various equipment and tools.
- Assist in the preparation of job kits for upcoming work
- Ensure Cleanliness of the storeroom is a at standard that promotes safety and auditability
- Perform audits of inventory on periodic basis
- Perform various tasks in the workshop and all other tasks inherent to the position.
Desired profile
- Very good customer service skills.
- Knowledge of the terminology of parts used in mechanics, electricity, pneumatics, and hydraulic.
- Good decision-making ability & ability to think independently.
- Rigorous in monitoring processes.
- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility.
- Strong computer base skills with ability to learn new computer systems
- Mechanical knowledge would be an asset.
- Ability to use mobile equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts – training will be provided.
- Storeroom /store keeping experience a plus
