Job Profile Summary

• Under the supervision of the Manager Environmental Services, the Supervisor, Environmental Services supervises the technical and administrative functions. Acts as a technical resource for team members. Collaborates to achieve the organizational goals. Implements goals consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units.

Job Description

• Supervises employees in daily operations. Maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests.

Provides leadership and training.
Coordinates and provides orientation, education and training.
Ensures cross coverage. Develops effective work teams.
Improves procedures and processes.
Encourages and supports morale building activities and positive attitudes. Communicates with employees and provides orientation on policies.
Analyzes workflow and procedures. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve speed, quality and effectiveness.
Completes annual on-going competency requirements. Attends continuing education programs and completes mandatory training in order to maintain certification/licensure, department specific requirements and professional growth.
Follows hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or GED. Associate Degree preferred.
Certifications: None required
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a work leader, team lead of project manager, or 1 year of supervisor experience in a related field.
Offset: Bachelor’s degree and no experience. Or Associate’s degree with combination of experience.
Physical Requirements: Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires dexterity sufficient to operate a computer.
Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching.
Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
Light Work - Exerting 11 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.25 - $29.33 per hour
