MARS Solutions is looking for a Supply Chain Director in New Berlin, WI

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take overall responsibility for the sourcing goals of the New Berlin Manufacturing facility and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved.
  • Manage buyers, warehouse, and shipping personnel to meet stated goals and objectives.
  • Manages and oversees the Sales and Operations Planning process to ensure appropriate forecasting of material purchases both short term and long term.
  • Direct Supply Chain resources working with suppliers and engineering during new product development stage.
  • Direct Supply Chain resources in establishing and maintaining vendor management programs.
  • Forecast and maintain supply of subassemblies and components
  • Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning.
  • Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
  • Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues and opportunities to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging market options.
  • Develop, establish, and provide for the maintenance of reporting systems that relate to the supply chain function, including open requisition, late delivery, and similar management reports.
  • Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the supply chain organization.
  • Calculate and monitor optimal inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying cost and premium transportation charges.
  • Responsible for managing the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse and shipping personnel.
  • Determines and administers policies and procedures relating to shipping / receiving and storage of a variety of equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Manage and/or establish processes for inventory management (i.e., cycle counting) and supervise the physical inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Future opportunity to support Sourcing and SIOP for organization – including locations in China and Indiana.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or similar degree. MBA Preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience managing Supply Chain processes/departments with direct reports.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly processes, inventory control, MRP Systems implementation and distribution.
  • APICS Certification (CPIM or CSCP) required.
  • Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria)
  • Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts

  • Improve working capital (inventory turns, DPO, inventory reserves)
  • Year over year material cost savings.
  • Inventory accuracy.
  • Support on-time delivery performance.
  • Reduction of Excess and Obsolete.
  • Promotes a clean and safe work environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT (and ADDITIONAL NOTES)

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; PPE, steel toed shoes and eye safety glasses.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 per year
