The Yahnis Company, one of the largest family owned wholesale beverage distributors in South Carolina, is seeking a systems administrator for our Conway and Florence, SC operations. We deliver the best local, regional and global products from Miller/Coors, Pabst Brewing Co., Yuengling and Heineken and more.
The systems administrator will have a workspace and responsibilities at our Florence, SC location as well as our Conway, SC location. Home-base is flexible.
Reports to: Director of Operations
Position Objective: The primary purpose of the systems administrator is to manage the day-to-day computer software and hardware functions of the distributorship in the areas of inventory, warehouse, delivery, and sales data, hardware updates and upgrades, hardware maintenance, future technology, data safety and security.
Manage the IT infrastructure that facilitates the day-to-day operations of the distributorship. Areas include application connectivity for mobile sales, delivery and inventory.
The position regularly communicates with all levels of the company; oral and written communication skills are an everyday facet.
The position requires strong working knowledge of:
- Encompass Cloud ERP
- Network infrastructure - Software infrastructure
- Windows Server Based File and Network Management
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS
- Managed Backup Solutions
- Commercial Firewall & VPN Solutions
- Windows Desktop support including Software packages: Office 2016
- Mobile Device management – Iphones only
- Wireless and wired network management
- Asset Management – Hardware and Software licenses
- Hardware/software management and training employees on updates. PC and iOS handhelds.
- Antivirus
- Space planning
- Inventory control
- Timekeeper for payroll
- VOIP system
Specific duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
- Monitor and identify issues with wireless networks and remediate
- Support wireless connectivity on windows based systems and various tablets and phones (iOS)
- Keeping all Software up to date with the latest feature packs & Security updates
- Maintain all hardware ensuring the latest security patches and Firmware upgrades are installed will planning/budgeting for replacement prior to end of life
- Ability to plan, organize and execute project upgrades/updates
- Ability to lift and move PC’s, monitors and other associated office equipment
- On-call status
- Maintain a current running inventory of all active assets both hardware and software.
Basic Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, or 2 year degree with related experience or 5 years related experience
- Strong analytical thought process
- Dedicated to Continuous Improvement
- Understands the value of IT in the work place and the impact of proper implementation
- Self-starter with a focus on customer service
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
- Willingness to work some weekends and holidays to facilitate business needs
- Valid driver’s license
Company car and gas card for travel between locations.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
