Blackpoint Technology is a recognized leader in the System Integration & Custom Automation industry.
We are a growing company located in Rumson NJ and service all of NJ, as well as some out of state locations. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, self-starting technician for employment in the high-end automation, smart-home and custom audio & video business. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of installation experience and may be familiar with Savant, Control4, Crestron, Lutron & Wireless
Networks.

Qualifications:

• A/V pre-wiring and termination experience in new constructions and retrofit
• Ability to tone, trace and terminate low voltage wires – CAT 5/6/7 and many other
• Able to install and troubleshoot home automation, audiovisual systems & networks
• Installation of electronic components including but not limited to wired/ wireless networks, A/V systems, audio/ video distribution and matrix systems, flat panel TV's, in-wall/ ceiling speakers, projectors and screens, A/V racks, landscape lighting, shade systems and, CCTV, etc.
• Some experience in installing equipment from Savant, Control4 and Crestron, Lutron, Sonos, and more
• Lutron lighting control systems and motorized shade installation and programming is a plus
• Building and wiring AV equipment racks neatly
• Ability to read blueprints and communicate effectively to trade-partners and GC’s
• Meeting owners/owners’ representatives and General Contractors
• Basic knowledge and understanding of advanced HVAC systems

• Ability to receive, accept and complete tasks to professional standards
• Has own means of transportation
• Clean driving record is a must
• Tools (Must have wire strippers, wire cutters, drill, tape measure, level, 10 in 1 screwdriver, set of hex keys, set of precision screw drivers, ratchet set or socket set, hammer, tool bag or heavy- duty book bag, soldering gun and toner set).
• Ability to communicate w/ management and provide daily written work reports, etc.
• Physical Ability to lift at least 50lbs
