Talent Acquisition Partner Job at Deerfield Agency
Deerfield Pharma Services Holdings, LLC is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to partner with our People Operations team to develop the strategy and support staffing goals for both Deerfield Agency and VERGE Scientific Communications.
Deerfield is a full-service healthcare agency and solutions provider that helps companies in the life sciences industry do “more with less” through a unique blend of marketing, tech, and analytics. Our proprietary Agency of Brand model allows us to complement existing agency partners for some clients while serving as a full Agency of Record for others.
Verge is an award-winning brand strategy and communications agency dedicated to shaping the stories of emerging and pioneering health and science-driven companies. Our team is comprised of seasoned health and science communications counselors, brand strategists, PhD scientists and creatives who execute brand and creative strategy; corporate, scientific and product communications; media relations; website design; content marketing and social media engagement.
This role can be based out of our Arlington, VA or Conshohocken, PA offices or can be remote. Preference is that remote applicants are east coast based. We offer a flexible work environment allowing for in-person, hybrid, and remote work opportunities. This position may require travel for business needs or team gatherings.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to support staffing goals for a small, but fast-growing communications agency. You will be responsible for sourcing, identifying, recruiting, and screening our next great talent, while representing the exceptional culture of Deerfield and Verge. You will cultivate relationships to build a pipeline of talent and enhance our recruiting and hiring practices aligned with the strategic goals of the business.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage full life cycle recruitment process; posting and job description creation, advertisement, sourcing, candidate evaluation, interview scheduling, feedback analysis and offer extension for candidates in a variety of positions and levels
- Promotes and hires for the Fellowship/Internship program
- Utilize the applicant tracking system to post positions, manage and communicate with candidates, develop reports, and maintain all recruitment data
- Monitors job offers and compensation practices; analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries
- Develop strong relationships with senior management to forecast recruitment needs; provide consultation to key hiring managers and implement innovative and cost-effective recruiting strategies linked with business needs
- Drives recruiting best practices and ensures talent pool is diverse, equitable, and inclusive
- Be proactive in building candidate pipelines with diverse talent pools to meet current and potential staffing needs
- Define and maintain role requirements ensuring all active requisitions accurately reflect the role within the organization, responsibilities, contributions, and Verge’s culture
- Source candidates using our internal database, portfolio sites, social media networking, and industry job boards
- Identifies, organizes, and coordinates participation in career fairs and networking events
- Recommends opportunities to expand recruitment and advertising efforts to increase diversity of the candidate pool
- Leverage internal candidate and employee referral program to deliver quality candidates that will elevate team dynamics and the company culture
- Identify and implement employer branding tools to create continuous awareness of the company’s culture, growth, and employee experience
- Educate and develop hiring managers on behavioral-based interview model, providing feedback and the hiring process overall
- Utilize strong customer service approach to ensure a positive candidate experience - manage candidate care throughout interview process deliver all communication in professional and timely manner
- Work with other HR team members to execute on the onboarding process
- In alignment with our collaborative work environment, there may be other job functions that this role is asked to execute to support team members and the firm overall
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent related experience
- Experience recruiting in public relations, corporate communications, science communications, marketing, advertising and/or investor relations preferred
- Ability to design and drive recruitment strategy
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance numerous candidates and requisitions simultaneously
- Strong understanding of recruiting tools, such as sourcing platforms and applicant tracking systems and techniques related to strategy, reporting and sourcing
- Knowledge of HR compliance as it relates to recruitment activity and the ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality
- Excellent written and professional interpersonal communications skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects with a high attention to detail
- Strong research and writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); comfortable using various business productivity apps (Slack, Zoom)
