Wintersun Chemical is looking for a CLASS A Driver with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement, they will be delivering chemicals to our local Southern California customers.
This is a Full Time job, Monday - Friday 6 AM - 3PM.
$28-30/ HOUR - Depending on Exp!

Description
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
- Drives a commercial tractor and trailer (2019 Kenworth T680 and 48ft/28ft trailers and 2016 Majona Tanker Trailer ) from point to point safely while picking up and delivering general freight.
- Safely transport chemicals to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner. You must be knowledgeable in chemical hazardous classes and hazardous materials loads and segregations!
- Apply knowledge of commercial driving skills in maneuvering vehicle varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, and tight loading dock areas.
- Makes pick up or delivery of freight, obtaining signed receipts, collecting and signing for freight as instructed by Dispatcher and/or Counter Personnel.
- Ensure that all required shipping documents (manifest, security seal, bills of lading, shipping order or freight bills, etc.) are available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment with delivered.
- Drive commercial vehicle in day-time and night-time operations to destination, followed by an off-duty period as required by regulatory requirements.
- Report all accidents immediately involving driver and/or company equipments regardless of extent of damage.
- Report highway safety hazards noted en route and promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions, or other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to the pickup or delivery of cargo.
- Must obtain the proper rest and report for work on time and be prepared for duty.
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including ELD driver's logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law.
- Maintains inspection and securement of cargo including physical loading and unloading.
- Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections
- Maintain truck equipments
- Maintain the service and appearance of truck
- Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing materials.
- When hazardous materials are present: check for proper preparation of shipping papers; check for agreement between information on shipping papers, markings, and labeling on freight; make sure that vehicle/ freight is properly placarded and secured.

Skills/Requirements
- HAZARDOUS CERTIFICATION AND TANKER ENDORSEMENT IS REQUIRED TO APPLY!!!!!
- MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORDS, NO ACCIDENTS OR INFRACTIONS IN THE PAST 5 YEARS!
- MUST HAVE EXPERICENCE HAULING TANKER TRAILERS!!!!
- Valid Class A Driver's License with at least 2 years good driving record.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Great Communication AND Great Customer Service Skills!
- Attention to Detail.
