Taproom Cleaner Job at Eastern Market Brewing Co
Description:
As a Taproom Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring that the taproom is clean and ready for business before opening. You will be required to perform various rotational cleaning tasks, including deep cleaning, high dusting, mopping floors, and washing windows. You will report to multiple locations including Ferndale, Royal Oak, and Detroit. This is a part-time position.
Performance Expectations- Essential functions:
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the taproom, including dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen areas
- Perform deep cleaning tasks, including scrubbing floors, walls, and fixtures
- High dusting of ceilings, light fixtures, and other high areas
- Mop and sweep floors to remove any dirt, debris, or spills
- Wash windows and mirrors to maintain a clean appearance
- Remove garbage and recycling from all areas of the taproom
- Ensure that cleaning supplies are properly stocked and stored
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures while performing cleaning tasks
- Report to multiple locations as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Availability work early mornings and flexible hours; more specifically a shift from 4-8am in Ferndale twice a week, and flexible morning shifts in Royal Oak and Detroit.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to report to multiple locations
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks occasionally, including lifting and bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, climbing
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
