Teacher, Middle School Science 2023-24 Job at The Archdiocese of Baltimore
Monsignor Slade Catholic School in Glen Burnie is seeking a highly skilled individual to teach Middle School Science for the 2023-24 school year.
The position will teach middle school science to 6, 7, and 8th grade students. The successful candidate must hold a current Maryland State Teaching Certificate and have experience working with middle school-aged students. The teacher will be responsible for all science coursework including earth, life, and physical science.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides grade-appropriate instructional programs for students.
- Maintains an attractive, organized, and engaging learning environment.
- Develops lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocesan Curriculum.
- Provides grade-appropriate extended or enrichment opportunities.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
- Provides regular and consistent communication with parents, students, staff, and administration.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in education and current MSDE certification with endorsements in
- Experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred
- Must be a practicing Catholic
- Positive references and recommendations
- Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals, and objectives
- Must be proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons as well as to enrich and differentiate instruction
