Job Description: Our client is seeking a technically/Java software development savvy, agile delivery lead/manager with a hands-on Java Development background. This person will be leading delivery of software / and custom-built web applications in Java. This is a role/opportunity where for the right person, they may be brought into the organization on a long-term contract basis to direct development staff as a working team member to architect, design, develop, test, debug and document software components by providing delivery leadership associated with the delivery of high-quality technical solutions under the high-level direction of an agile program manager and/or director. The Delivery Manager will be individually responsible for the successful delivery of the project. The Delivery Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the project using the Agile project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle. Will lead a team of technical professionals and will work closely with product, engineering, SaaS vendors and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of the product. Job Responsibilities: • Lead the delivery team in the implementation of SaaS application using Agile methodology. • Working closely with IT counterparts such as product management and quality assurance, and other stakeholders to establish delivery timelines and ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget. • Ensure the delivery team is following established processes and procedures for deployment and support. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs are being • met and any issues are resolved in a timely manner. • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact delivery timelines or customer satisfaction. • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on project progress and any issues that may arise. • Ability to quickly triage issues and assigning the right team to work on that issue without missing the established SLAs. • Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized. • Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors. • May require some hands-on development (in Java) Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field. • 10+ years of experience in a technical delivery management role, preferably in the SaaS industry. • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects. • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and with tight deadlines. • Experience with Agile development methodologies. • Experience leading teams and technical professionals. • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. • Outstanding attention to detail and good organizational skills • Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment • and to manage competing priorities. • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization. • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology • applications/products and business functions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Must be resourceful, detail-oriented, organized, and proactive. • Hands on experience with code repository tools and Java debugging tools. • Knowledge of Java/J2EE concepts (multithreading, collections, design patterns of Java, Spring framework, RESTful web services) • Well versed in CI/CD pipelines for Java based multi module projects and release management. • Strong technical background with experience in cloud computing and web technologies and Confluence is a must. Nice to Have's / Bonus: • Knowledge of TeamConnect is a plus. • Knowledge of Swagger or Soap UI is a plus.
