Especially for Children in Bloomington seeks a dedicated Toddler or Preschool teacher or assistant teacher to join our teaching team. EFC has eight Twin Cities locations which are NAEYC Accredited and Four Star Parent Aware rated. EFC is locally owned and was founded in 1976. Teachers at Especially for Children make lasting connections with children, families and each other. Our educational philosophy is centered on The Creative Curriculum, a play-based learning curriculum that allows teachers and children to explore and pursue their unique interests.

We are offering a sign-on bonus for this teacher position at our Bloomington location. A $1,000 bonus will be offered to candidates who possess a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. A $500 bonus will be offered to all other Teacher or Assistant Teacher qualified candidates. Bonuses will be paid in two installments after 30 and 60 days of employment. Bonuses do not apply to any other open positions at Especially for Children unless specified in the job posting.

Candidates who are not currently Teacher qualified, but would like to obtain Teacher qualification will be eligible to participate in the CDA (Child Development Associate) program, 100% paid for by Especially for Children.

We seek a qualified teacher or assistant teacher who:

• Relates positively with young children and families
• Has previous Early Childhood Education experience in a school, childcare or daycare setting
• Has a CDA or college credits in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred but not required)
• Is passionate about providing quality care and learning opportunities as well as a safe environment for young children
• Plans and implements lesson plans and a daily classroom schedule
• Works cooperatively with other team members
