Treasury Bookkeeper – HS Diploma Req’d

FREE currently has an exceptional opportunity for a Treasury Bookkeeper to be responsible for all daily banking including the collection, organization and preparation of cash/check deposits.

Specifically, you will:

• Process electronic check deposits & prepare cash deposits , to deliver and deposit to the bank.
• Process credit card payments for various donors and/or other recurring customers.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies with cash transactions.
• Process federal and state payroll withholding tax payments timely and accurately.
• Process electronic vendor payments and initiates customer direct debits.
• Initiate requests with the banks for new and/or closed accounts; complete paperwork for signature/submit to the bank.
• Serve as a backup to the Treasury specialist.
• Ensure that all required documentation (paper/electronic) is completed /processed appropriately, in a timely manner, and meets quality and compliance thresholds.
• Support, attend and participate in all required events and meetings.

We require:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree or college level courses in accounting or finance preferred
• Computer literacy
• Work experience in accounting or finance, preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs
• Efficiency, well organized, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be detail-oriented
