Pay Rate:

$24.00/hr. plus shift differential

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Complete pre- trip inspections
  • Follow all federal, State, and local D.O.T regulations
  • Follow all posted speed limits
  • Ensure company cell phone is on and are operational
  • Use of cell phones while driving is strictly prohibited
  • Obtain daily work schedule/tickets
  • Establish positive working relationships with customers
  • Service all scheduled customers by the end of the daily shift
  • Ensure all loads have a load lock device before leaving the yard
  • Per trip and port trip reports must be done on a daily basis
  • Complete and submit DOT vehicle operating logs at the end of shift
  • Complete daily housekeeping, cleaning & trash removal from cab of truck at end of every shift
  • Check in with dispatcher prior to leaving for the day
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
  • Adhere to plant policies and guidelines
  • Follow Safe Reliable Methods (SRMs) or Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards
  • Attend and participate in plant safety meetings
  • Manage controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Demonstrated success in safety, attendance & quality of work
  • Must have a current physical/medical card and valid Class A CDL in the state of Texas
  • HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • 2 years of verifiable experience operating day cab tractors, sleeper tractors & 53 foot dry vans in the last 3 years
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
  • No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
  • No DUI/OWI/FELONIES in the last 5 years

Must pass required assessments, background check, drug screen & physical
