Truck Driver
Pay Rate:
$24.00/hr. plus shift differential

The Job You Will Perform:
- Complete pre- trip inspections
- Follow all federal, State, and local D.O.T regulations
- Follow all posted speed limits
- Ensure company cell phone is on and are operational
- Use of cell phones while driving is strictly prohibited
- Obtain daily work schedule/tickets
- Establish positive working relationships with customers
- Service all scheduled customers by the end of the daily shift
- Ensure all loads have a load lock device before leaving the yard
- Per trip and port trip reports must be done on a daily basis
- Complete and submit DOT vehicle operating logs at the end of shift
- Complete daily housekeeping, cleaning & trash removal from cab of truck at end of every shift
- Check in with dispatcher prior to leaving for the day
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- Adhere to plant policies and guidelines
- Follow Safe Reliable Methods (SRMs) or Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards
- Attend and participate in plant safety meetings
- Manage controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage
- Report any safety or maintenance concerns
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Demonstrated success in safety, attendance & quality of work
- Must have a current physical/medical card and valid Class A CDL in the state of Texas
- HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- 2 years of verifiable experience operating day cab tractors, sleeper tractors & 53 foot dry vans in the last 3 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
- No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- No DUI/OWI/FELONIES in the last 5 years
Must pass required assessments, background check, drug screen & physical
