Used Vehicle Inspection Technician Responsibilities

• Perform thorough mechanical inspections of pre-owned vehicles to prepare them for sale
• Test vehicle components and systems using advanced diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, document, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with Service Managers to keep them informed of vehicle statuses and completion timelines
• Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
• Test drive vehicles to ensure full repair resolution

Used Vehicle Inspection Technician Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Unwavering ethics and values
• At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Fast, eager learner and team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Willingness to learn new technology
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Career-driven mindset
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Willing to submit to a background check and drug screen prior to employment
