Used Vehicle Inspection Technician Responsibilities
- Perform thorough mechanical inspections of pre-owned vehicles to prepare them for sale
- Test vehicle components and systems using advanced diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, document, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with Service Managers to keep them informed of vehicle statuses and completion timelines
- Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
- Test drive vehicles to ensure full repair resolution
Used Vehicle Inspection Technician Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Unwavering ethics and values
- At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
- Fast, eager learner and team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Willingness to learn new technology
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Career-driven mindset
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Willing to submit to a background check and drug screen prior to employment
