About the role

Located just east of Columbia, we have a full- and part-time veterinary assistant/receptionist positions available. We are looking for someone excited to take a leadership role.

Are you enthusiastic, up-beat, empathetic towards animals, and compassionate with people?

A love for animals, an ability to communicate well, and a computer background are necessary. Our front-desk people are our first line of client contact, and are responsible for maintaining our polite, personal, and professional image.

This position is full- or part-time with no scheduled weekends. We look forward to welcoming you to our clinic family!

Duties include:

• Assisting the doctor during exams, treatments, and with animal care
• Surgery prep, assisting, and take down
• Maintenance of facility and equipment
• Facilitating our curb-side intake and discharge
• Opening and closing
• Taking telephone calls
• Greeting patients and clients
• Scheduling appointments
• Applicant must demonstrate empathy with animals and compassion towards owners.

Other requirements include:

• Working knowledge of a windows based computer system
• Full keyboard typing
• Pleasant speaking voice
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Participating as a team player
