Job Overview

Under direction of the SVP of Real Estate Management, the VP Asset Management will join a team responsible for the strategic planning and management of the agency’s real estate portfolio, with an emphasis on the business planning and objectives, relationships and agreements, grants, and analysis of new opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team, who takes initiative and strives for continued improvement. Experience in state and local government, public and private partnerships, commercial real estate, property management, creative capital structures, tax credits, housing development and office buildings are all beneficial qualities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and plan the management and operations of the current and potential real estate portfolio
• Manage agreement negotiations
• Manage annual budget process, reviewing monthly accounting, projecting future needs and compiling budgets based on business plans for various properties
• Work in collaboration with Asset Management Team and SVP of Real Estate to assure that all regulations, licenses, permits and approvals are maintained at each property
• Maintain and or create with team collaboration Security Plan, Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Response Plans
• Manage administrative staff through public procurement to achieve efficient and responsive actions that maintain operations at each facility in the most effective manner
• Primarily a self-managed role, with reporting responsibilities through weekly updates and meetings with Asset Management team members and the SVP Real Estate Management.
• Travel is required (mainly within Massachusetts)

Competencies

  Ability to proactively manage multiple priorities, properties and staff
• Valid state-issued driver’s license
  Post-high school education with a concentration in real estate related studies, project or facilities management, or a combination of work and educational experience
• Knowledge and or experience in the following areas

  • Public / Private Business Ventures
  • Bilingual a plus; not required for the job
