About the Job: Workers Compensation/Patient Account Billing Specialists (Billing) are responsible for all Roles and Responsibilities listed under Patient Account Representative. Additionally, the successful applicant will have expert knowledge of account transactions in the practice management system, be able to research complicated posting issues on patient accounts with minimal assistance and will have taken on additional roles within billing such as but not limited to working additional reports, balancing, or providing back up for other duties.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• All roles and responsibilities listed under Patient Account Representative
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a P.A Representative
• Provide expert level account transaction support to patients and coworkers.
• Research and resolve complicated posting issues on accounts with minimal assistance.
• Follow-up insurance representative with emphasis in workman’s compensation and moto vehicle follow up.
• Provide backup phone coverage at least once a week, either in the office or at home.

Set Yourself Apart: Skills and Qualifications:

• Intermediate to expert knowledge of PM, EMR and clearinghouse systems for research of accounts excellent customer service skills when assisting patients and co-workers.
• Providing coverage for a minimum of 3 other activities as assigned
• Make Time of Service Calls (as a back up as needed)
• Posting Charges (as a backup as needed)
• Work Rejected/Invalid Claims
• Back Up for others when out
• EMR Experience with Athena, preferred but not required.
• Possible Hybrid work in future
• Workman's compensation/attorney follow-up.
• Phone's back up for other billing department
