For the past 20 years we have partnered with over 50 City Recreations, School Districts, Private Schools and Home Schools to offer our classes in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are currently looking for fun, inspiring and passionate Writing Instructors or Teachers to teach our Writing Summer Camps for K to 8th grade students. Option to continue teaching after summer and during school year.

Working Hours:

• Summer camps: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, flexible schedule, one-week at a time
• Summer classes: weekday afternoon, 4:00 - 5:30 PM, OR Saturdays, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Optional School year: weekday afternoons, 4:00 - 6:00 PM, OR Saturdays 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Optional School Break Camps: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring and Summer

Job Description

• Teach Writing camps and classes for K - 8th graders (in different age groups)
• Assist students in learning to use clear and effective writing, communication and creative self-expression
• Teach from pre-planned comprehensive curriculum
• Create fun and supportive environment for students to hone their writing skills and develop confidence in Writing
• Small class size, max of 12
• Very flexible schedule
• 12 - 30 hours per week during summer and school breaks
• 2 - 12 hours per week during school year

Qualifications:

• BA in English, Communication Studies, Education OR related fields preferred
• Minimum one year of experience in teaching, training, coaching or tutoring
• Dynamic, articulate, patient, reliable, fun loving, professional
• Enjoy working with students of all ages

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
