We at the YMCA Teen Center are seeking Group Leaders to work with kids (K-6th Grade) in our YMCA's Expanded Learning Program! Group Leaders will work at a school site in Richmond, San Pablo, or El Sobrante.

You will work with the Y team's Site Coordinator to provide academic and enrichment opportunities to the kids in our YMCA Expanded Learning (ELP) program. Be willing to learn. Take action to engage and inspire students, staff, and volunteers.

About the YMCA Expanded Learning Program
Our ELP team believes in elevating youth's voice and emotional intelligence so they flourish as future leaders. Every day, we provide safe afterschool spaces for youth to cultivate their social emotional growth, healthy relationships, and leadership skills.

We work with schools in West Contra Costa and Oakland to create afterschool programming that focus on enrichment opportunities, physical activities, and academic support. Together, we want to guide underserved children and families to reach their full potential.

Your Leadership Responsibilities

• Supervise students
• Plan and lead daily activities (academic, enrichment, or physical)
• Record and track attendance
• Collaborate with team to create clean and safe environment

Your Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have completed 48 college units or the Instructional Aid (IA) Exam
• (We will offer IA Exam if the above is not met.)
• Pass DOJ/FBI criminal background check
• Have CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within 30 days of hire
