3.0 Technology Service Specialist II
The Site Technology Service Specialist Level 2 acts as a liaison between building and central office Technology Support Staff; will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and repairing district supported devices.
Terms of Employment:
- 261 days
- Salary (step/level placement) & Benefits are as described in the current Collective Bargaining
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field of study or equivalent knowledge.- Certification requirements may change due to hardware/software support needs.
- Required certifications must be valid within 6 months of employment.
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and teamwork skills are required.
- Must possess valid driver's license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow through to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, ability to schedule time to meet deadlines, ability to work independently, and ability to make work-related decisions.

Setup, install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, maintain, and repair all computers, operating systems, printers, and other peripherals.- Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, repair, and resolution of district-supported device problems for end-users. Recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair requests as needed.
- Assist/provide technology training to other staff.
- Provide/create documentation for procedures for technology staff and end-users.
- Monitor/manage district incident reporting software and coordinate with others to make sure all requests are resolved in a timely manner.
- Participate in evaluating technology software and hardware.
- Create/maintain documentation of procedures for users.
- Assist with deployment and maintenance of technology devices/policies to be deployed throughout the district.
- Maintain and escalate incidents submitted through the district incident reporting software.
- Coordinate with other technology members to manage/maintain daily client service requests using the district incident reporting software.
- Coordinate, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair technology equipment.
- Coordinate/manage/support district processes and procedures as needed
- Plus Level 1 duties and responsibilities
