Administrative Officer 1 Job at Commonwealth of PA
Are you looking for a highly independent position that allows you the opportunity to work from home full-time? This Administrative Officer 1 position serves as the Grants Manager for the Special Initiative Grant program and completes all processing steps throughout the life of a grant.
This is a highly independent position responsible for all steps in the end-to-end grant administration process including, but not limited to, application, grant execution, payment, and closeout.
In addition to the primary duties, as Administrative Officer 1 (AO1), you will provide procurement and fiscal support and serves as a backup to the AO1 Office Manager. Office Manager duties include, but are not limited to, Human Resources, Timekeeping, Executive Review Process, telecommunications, equipment tracking, and general office management.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.- Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
You must be eligible for selection in accordance with merit system employment regulations.

- Management Technician
- Clerical Supervisor 2
- Secretarial Supervisor 2
- Employees who previously held regular civil service status in the job title of the position being filled are also eligible for promotion without examination.
- The promotion without examination requirements are issued in accordance with merit system employment regulations.
- Meritorious service is defined as (a) the absence of any discipline above the level of written reprimand during the 12 months preceding the closing date of the posting, and (b) the last regular or probationary performance evaluation showing an overall rating of satisfactory or higher.
- Applicants must have a minimum of one year in the next lower class(es) by the posting closing date with no break in service.
