Position Summary

Engineers at Bridgestone have a passion for innovation that drives our company forward. Our Automation Engineer position gives you the opportunity to join the world's largest tire and rubber company at the forefront of innovation and mobility while receiving training from an industry leader in automation and robotics. Bridgestone’s Automation Engineers start their time with us by attending the Rockwell Automation Institute for a 6-month program, receiving technical and professional training focused on automation and controls. The training program provides a blend of classroom learning, lab work, field assignments, projects, and professional development.

After completion of the Rockwell EIT program, you would be placed at one of our manufacturing facilities in either an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering role to continue your learning and development. Electrical Engineer roles will research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Mechanical Engineer roles will research, plan, design, develop, and implement/install mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical transmission, thermal, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production related equipment.

As a teammate, you will gain hands-on experience working on meaningful projects, networking with engineers across the organization, learning what it is like to be an engineer at Bridgestone, and making a lasting impact while developing lifelong skills and competencies to your future career.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics and Automation Engineering
  • Experience with CAD applications
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing setting
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Availability for June 2023 or January 2024 program starts

  • People-centric focus with ability to collaborate with all teammates across the organization
  • Strong initiative, work ethic and levels of enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude in major of study
