The Opportunity

What to Expect and BabyCenter seek an enterprising Social Media Editor to create original content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The Social Media Editor will work closely with our video team to craft lively, service-driven content that informs and delights our audience of new and expectant parents. This is a remote role that reports to the Director of Social Content.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage What to Expect and BabyCenter’s social media accounts on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, collaborating closely with multiple departments (design, video, editorial) to create original content.
• Maintain a content calendar, giving stakeholders an overview of what videos you're working on and when they're due for release.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders from social, community, and editorial to ensure that all content is factually accurate and on-brand prior to release.
• Foster a sense of community on TikTok and Instagram by curating other creators’ content for resharing, commenting on other creators’ content, and participating in relevant trends.
• Explore new social media trends and platforms, evaluating their potential to extend the digital reach of our brands.

Job Qualifications

• Must be based in the United States.
• 1 to 3 years of professional experience in social media.
• Deep knowledge of TikTok best practices.
• Experience (or interest) in pregnancy, parenting, health, and/or wellness.
