A manufacturing company is seeking a Crate Builder for a full-time opportunity. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
A manufacturing company is seeking a Crate Builder for a full-time opportunity. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build shipping crates
- Utilize measuring devices, pneumatic tools, power saws, carpentry, and hand tools
- Use hand grinder for cosmetic finishing on stainless tables and carts prior to crating
- Move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift of floor jack
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area
- Perform daily safety inspections in equipment during daily start-up
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have 1 year continuous experience using forklift or comparable equipment
- Prior carpentry experience would be a plus
- Must have experience using power saws, including miter and table
- Must be comfortable to stooping, kneeling, and crouching, as well as, wearing safety glasses and gloves
- Must be highly safety-conscious and efficient
- Must have the ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to follow all safety procedures
- Must have the ability to maintain a clean and safe work area
