Building Maintenance Wkr Job at Manitowoc County

$19.03 - $22.68 an hour
Coordinates and assists in the maintenance operation and upkeep of County properties.
Performs troubleshooting and maintenance on systems including but not limited to: electrical components, plumbing, HVAC equipment, locks and control systems. Provides carpentry services, painting and furniture assembly. Coordinates and assists in office moving. Replaces light bulbs, ballasts. switches and receptacles.
Performs routine preventative maintenance program on all operating equipment and building systems and documents results.
Coordinates on-site work of outside contracted work .
Performs seasonal duties such as snow plowing, shoveling, grass cutting, trimming and weeding. Performs maintenance on grounds equipment.
Performs general custodial duties, including but not limited to: cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, wet mopping, vacuuming and dusting, washing furniture and windows. Removes trash and recycling. Performs project work such as stripping, sealing and refinishing floors and carpet cleaning an extraction.
Performs weekend security inspections on a rotating basis with other department employees: checks doors, walks through mechanical rooms, turns off room lights, etc..
A high school diploma and whatever combination of additional education and work experience provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. A valid Wisconsin Drivers License.
