Full-time, Hourly
Hourly Range: $16.62 - $21.19 per hour

Job Summary:
The objective of Resident Services is to maintain an accurate and confidential account of a Resident's money. We serve as the Resident's bank giving them the option to purchase commissary, phone credits, media funds, and pay expenses incurred while being in our facility.

Job Responsibilities:
  • J-Pay Support, Resident E-Media - Screen all incoming and outgoing emails for residents. Communicate with Residents and trouble shoot media issues. Liaison for the Residents when dealing with J-Pay issues. Works directly with J-Pay's customer service and IT staff.
  • Resident Services Support - Enter data, cut checks/debit cards, deposits, answer phones and inquiries from Resident's grievances, close accounts, transfer accounts and run reports from CORE data base.
  • Huber/ES - Back up when Fiscal Specialist is out. Debit/Credit Huber fees, run reports for several parties, set up new Huber/ES Residents, calculate hours worked for Huber and ES Residents and charge, accordingly, cut checks/debit cards for released Huber Residents.
  • Front desk/phones - Provide back-up to front desk / answer HOC main phone lines. Complete mail run on rotating basis to County Courthouse. Uses JMS to retrieve information to pass onto public.
  • Manages hair cut lists - Manage requests, charge residents, creates spread sheets for barber. Responsible for Haircut list for indigent Residents.
  • Child Support and Federal Court Order requests - Child Support sends affidavits to hold monies from Residents until a court order comes through to release. Responsible for freezing requested lien amount, processing the check and keeping documentation of court orders.
  • Responsible for balancing phone credits - Back up for balancing daily phone sales at the HOC. Compares to providers sales using excel spreadsheet to reconcile. Refunds/credits the phone providers database and Resident's account.
  • Bail and Commitments - Responsible for handling, collecting, and paying all self-bails and commitments for the HOC. This responsibility ensures bail funds are sent to the appropriate jurisdiction for payment.
Required Education, License/Certification and Experience
  • Current resident of Wisconsin.
  • Valid WI Driver’s License.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least Three (3) years or more work experience in Customer Service required.
  • Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in typing and data entry.
  • Strong customer service skills in resolving complaints and grievances required.
  • Strong communication skills in giving and receiving information required.
  • Previous work experience in Accounting or Banking systems preferred.
