This job is best suited to those licensed General Contractors that are looking to continue what they love - building and fixing - but with a stable and predictable wage, and without all the administrative headaches that come with running your own business.
As a General Contractor on our team, you will help us inspect, renovate, refurbish, repair and maintain our properties to ensure they are in excellent condition, both inside and out. You will expand in your responsibilities as you grow.
Requirements:
- Provide excellent customer-facing service to our homeowners and residents.
- Scope our and provide quotes and project plans for refurbishment projects
- Perform routine maintenance in the properties, including preventative maintenance, upkeep, and repairs.
- Complete service requests in a timely manner and as efficiently as directed.
- Perform inspections of properties and individual units, identifying issues and recommending actions.
- Prepare vacant homes for new move-ins.
- Ensure proper removal and disposal of construction waste as needed.
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Must have a General Contractor's License.
- Residential construction or single-family home maintenance experience mandatory
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication including written follow-up and verbal ability to explain solutions to resident issues.
- Ability to multitask including prioritizing work orders.
- Robust computer skills - ability to learn and use systems for tracking, scheduling and communications.
- Own a truck and tools
- Flexibility to respond to after-hours emergency calls on occasion
