As the Manager of Hybris Platform, you’ll be a member of the IT Applications team, supporting both the product information system and the B2B E-commerce system which run on a Hybris CCV2 environment. You’ll be responsible for managing the Hybris development team, including US domestic developers and offshore developers. You’ll play a critical role in managing Hybris development resources, working with business stakeholders to prioritize projects. You will work with project managers to plan for development resources and technical timeline as well as work with technical architects to finalize the solution designs. Furthermore, you should will guide vendor selection processes, including writing RFP’s, reviewing vendor proposals, interviewing vendors and facilitating final selection meetings with the senior IT management team. You shall review SOWs from vendors, approve vendor timesheets, and vendor invoices. Finally, you are required building strong relationships with internal business customers, the technology team and consultants to share and communicate ideas both orally and in writing.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Manage a development team, including Simpson developers, as well vendor resources both onsite and offshore. Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements. Work with Hybris architects and other technical subject matter experts to develop strategies for sustainable and flexible systems to meet both immediate and long-term business needs. Develop technical specifications and ensure that new technology solutions are designed for optimally for availability and features. Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design solutions that meet operational requirements; such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability and manageability. Ensure adoption of best practices and standards for development, support, quality control and documentation. (40%)
Work with the business to understand business objectives, business process and business requirements. Guide the business to understand the best technical solutions for their business requirements. Work with all business partners to prioritize business projects, work with project managers to plan for development resources. Assist in Service Management policies and processes to effectively support the domain. Assist in IT Processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management and Performance Management. Review the ongoing development process for improvement opportunities. (30%)
Enforce technical standards, best practice guidelines, and documentation standards for development processes. Ensure that standards are adhered to, and that documentation and change control processes are followed across the Hybris development team. (10%)
Works with partners and vendor organizations and provide oversight on all technical deliverables. Ensure that we have consistency across all our processes and enhancement work. Ensure that work provided by our partners meet Simpson’s internal standards, and be ultimately accountable for the solutions delivered. (10%)
Participates and provides input to overall IT Systems and Applications Strategy for IT, and drives the overall realization of value for IT Initiatives. Will be jointly responsible for Data Governance initiatives and will help to make sure that Data Governance goals are met. (10%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- B.S. degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field required.
- 5 years’ experience managing development teams; have track records of successfully managing and delivering large software development projects within timeline and budget. Experience managing offshore development teams is a plus.
- 7 years of experience in design, development of product information systems or ecommerce systems.
- 7 years of experience in system analysis, documentation and designing technical specifications of the processes.
- 5 years of experience in Java J2EE and spring framework development.
- 5 years of experience in web service API design and implementation. Good knowledge in SOAP/REST web service and SAP hybris.
- Experience with SAP Hybris PIM/WCMS, Java API framework preferred.
- Experience with ecommerce system design preferred.
- Leadership: Self-starter who demonstrates creativity in solving problems or generating improvement ideas. Able to prioritize competing or conflicting requests. Must exhibit strong communication skills. Supports and maintains positive attitude and vision with peers, associates, team members and management.
- Relationship building: Ability to work collaboratively with employees within department and across functions. Ability to maintain an open, approachable manner, and treat others respectfully.
- Communication: Ability to use language that is appropriate to the audience, occasion, and purpose. Ability to write in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience

This job requires 10% domestic travel.
WORK STATUS & LOCATION
This full-time, exempt position is located in Pleasanton, CA and is available to work remote. Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.

Pay
$119200 - $160900 / year
