About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Market Intelligence Lead Analytics Consultant that will use data analytic skills and methods to solve problems, create metrics and reports, perform analyses, provide feedback, and deliver insights to support decision making for various enterprise and business initiatives and strategies for areas related but not limited to customer and product profitability, business opportunity pipeline, sales tracking, liquidity financial trends and compliance risk management.

In this role, you will:
  • Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards
  • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
  • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
  • Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors
  • Perform analyses on current economic and/or home price trends at both the macro and micro level, utilizing economic/demographic/financial datasets
  • Create and/or maintain analyses and/or reporting that assesses the overall economic health of markets and/or specific housing relate econometrics
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, R or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • Ability to write and/or update SAS/SQL code
  • Experience in creating dashboards and reporting using Tableau
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Demonstrated ability to validate work
  • Demonstrated excellence at evaluating, developing, and enhancing processes / process execution
  • Self-motivated, capable of working effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. residential housing market
  • Familiarity with the U.S. commercial real estate market (apartments)
  • Background in statistics, economics and/or research
  • Strong background in the usage and interpretation of demographic and economic data, at both the national and market level
  • Ability to provide market level insight based on the data and the research
