Role Overview:

The American University School of Medicine Aruba is searching for a Marketing and Communications Manager for the Atlanta, Georgia - Corporate Office. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Marketing Manager with experience in higher education or medical school recruiting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing marketing strategies to increase admissions into our programs. This includes focusing on target markets, managing campaigns, guiding messaging and content for promotional materials, tracking results, and providing detailed reports on progress.

The ideal candidate for this role has a background in higher education or medical school recruiting and a passion for marketing. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical skills. They must also be able to multi-task and work independently while managing multiple projects. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage, executive, and coordinate marketing and communication activities to enhance student recruitment
  • Strengthen communications with various constituents while promoting the message and image of the University
  • Execute marketing to increase admissions into our programs
  • Document target markets and execute strategies for each market
  • Writing and collateral development, social media content
  • Supporting the Chief Academic Officer and Director of Admissions in communications,
  • Supervising outsource Marketing Agency and Graphic designer
  • Managing communications and marketing budget
  • Cultivating relationships to generate media coverage
  • Manage and track results of campaigns, including messaging and content for promotional materials, including print, web, and social media content geared toward the target market
  • Analyze data from campaigns to determine their effectiveness and make necessary adjustments
  • Coordinate with the Admissions Team to ensure successful outcomes
  • Areas of focus include brand awareness, reputation enhancement, and lead generation toward enrollment.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fluent with a variety of social media applications and website content
  • Knowledge of basic office software
  • Knows how to identify and reach a target audience
  • Excellent with electronic media and excellent writing skills
  • Experience in health care education preferred
  • Outgoing, dynamic personality
  • Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Driven, entrepreneurial personality highly motivated by goals, incentives & bonuses
  • Ability to share and connect with students in a compelling way
  • Highly reliable: deliver all assignments on time & at the highest possible quality level
  • Able to work occasionally in the afternoons or evenings
