Currently seeking a Medical Receptionist for a fast-paced, growing Gastroenterology Clinic in the Katy/Fulshear,TX area.

Job duties will include, but not limited to:

FRONT DESK/INSURANCE VERIFICATION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Checks in Patients and schedules appointments
• Maintains Patient demographic information and data collection
• Verify Insurance eligibility for upcoming appointments by utilizing online websites or contacting insurance carrier directly.
• Review Patient deductibles and/or copays and enter in the Patient chart for collection
• Coordinate with Clinical Staff and Providers regarding schedule daily
• Contact patient to ensure insurance information is correct
• Enter insurance referrals and/or make sure the referral authorization number and number of visits is on file prior to appointment
• Answers questions from Patients, Clinical Staff, and Insurance Companies
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
• Participates in educational activities and attends meetings as scheduled by management

Applicable Candidates MUST meet the following minimum criteria to be qualified to apply:

• Minimum of 1 year experience with EClinical Works (ECW) software
• Minimum of 1 year experience with Insurance Eligibility and Verification
• Possession of strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
• Must possess strong customer services and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate across departments to achieve team goals utilizing resources responsibly
• Ability to be proactive and take initiative
• Exhibit high level of quality through attention to detail and monitoring work
• Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as exceptional interpersonal communication skills
• Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on assignments
• Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment

SALARY IS NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF QUALIFICATIONS MET AND APPLICABLE EXPERIENCE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
