  • Greet and welcome guests, establish rapport, and provide excellent customer service by answering questions, and adhering to guest requests.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and courteous atmosphere that provides guests with an exceptional gaming experience and ensures efficient operations.
  • Monitor activity at Poker tables to including seating issues, game decisions, guest disputes, and suspicious activity.
  • Ensure adherence to Nevada Gaming Control Board and Title 31 regulations.
  • Poker Cage transactions.
  • Communicate personnel and guest issues to the Shift Manager.
  • Notify Shift Manager of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely and responsible manner.
  • Maintain general property knowledge.
  • Protect the confidentiality of all company files and documents under their immediate control.
  • Operate all aspects of Poker Watch software.
  • Answer customer questions about the Poker Room, MGM Grand casino, and any promotions.
  • Input player information into Patron Management software.
  • Verify guest play time and assists in issuing comps.
  • Assist in seating guests in games.
  • Performs all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

  • Minimum of at least 21 years of age.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Poker Dealer or Supervisor.
  • Ability to use office equipment such as copier, fax machine, telephone, and two way radio.
  • Ability to read and evaluate written material.
  • Analytical, enthusiastic, motivated, self-directed, and team player.
  • Frontline entry level cage transactions including: cash exchanges, chip redemption/purchase, proper cash/chip handling, cashier exchange with fill and main banks, window check in/out.
  • Poker cage transactions including: Safe Deposit Box issuance/entry/surrender, cage verification and identification procedures, table variances, miscellaneous disbursement forms.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills; demonstrate a proactive style while maintaining professionalism in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Possess basic math skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer proficiency working with software to include Internet MS Word, and Outlook.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Poker Dealer or Supervisor at a large resort Poker Room.
  • Experience working with major Poker events and high profile Poker players.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
