Pellicano’s Marketplace is looking for a part-time Produce Clerk to join a family-owned Marketplace, headquartered in Wheatfield, NY which provides custom cuts of meat, fresh deli, and produce products to our customers. We are people-centric with a focus on excellent customer service. We work smart and have fun in a team-oriented environment, working together to serve our community!
Essential Functions
- Provides premier customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions
- Fills and rotates produce cases and dry tables
- Unloads product from trucks
- Sells product by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions
- Breaks down pallets and separates product for sales floor, cooler and back room prep areas
- Processes and/or wraps produce items prior to filling cases and dry tables
- Verifies ads, hangs current sale signs, and removes out-of-date signs
- Performs routine price changes on products
- Processes Value Added items for Produce Specialty section
Education and Experience
- At least 18 years of age
- 1+ year’s customer service experience (preferred)
